Filtering Data
**Filtering** is a powerful tool in Excel that lets you display only the rows that meet specific criteria, hiding the others. This helps you focus on relevant data while maintaining the overall structure of your worksheet.
Steps to Filter Data
- Step 1: Select the range of data you want to filter.
- Step 2: Go to the Data tab and click Filter.
- Step 3: Click on the dropdown arrow in the column header and choose your filter criteria (e.g., specific values or ranges).
- Step 4: Excel displays only the rows that match your criteria.
- Step 5: To clear the filter, click on the filter icon and select Clear Filter.
